The Keepsafe Perth 10K 2016 opens for entry today (Friday 5th February) and prepares to welcome runners from across the fair city and beyond to take part in this popular annual race.
Organised by Perthshire Running Events and Digital Race Timing, the race is now in its sixth year under their ownership but has been part of Perthshire’s running event calendar for over 30 years. This year, for the first time in its history, the event will open up to young runners with a 1.5K race for five to eleven year olds and a 3K race for twelve to sixteen year olds.
Sponsored once again by local business, Keepsafe Storage, the 10K event will start and finish on the North Inch with a route that takes in the scenic River Tay path before turning into Arran Road Industrial estate and North Muirton’s Bute Drive.
Anne Smith, MD of Keepsafe commented, “We’re delighted to be in a position to sponsor this tremendous community 10K once again. We really do take great pride in supporting an event that helps motivate the health and wellbeing of local people; our own Keepsafe team are already planning their training and charity fundraising efforts and I know others will be keen to get started in doing the same.”
